The Mobil 1™ product used in your vehicle is determined by its manufacturer-required viscosity and specifications. European, hybrid and specialty applications may require a different approved formulation. Service intervals follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations and the vehicle’s oil-life monitoring system.

The right product for the application
Not every diesel uses the same oil
Different diesel engines require different oil viscosities and performance standards. We select the proper Mobil product instead of treating one diesel oil as universal.
A full synthetic option for applicable turbo-diesel pickups and other light- or heavy-duty diesel applications requiring its specifications.
Advanced synthetic heavy-duty diesel oil available in select viscosities for applicable modern and older engines, including certain engines with emissions-control systems.
Additional 10W-30 and 15W-40 options are available for qualifying trucks, fleets, commercial equipment and heavy-duty applications.
Some newer light-duty diesels require low-viscosity or manufacturer-specific oil that may not be compatible with standard 5W-40 diesel oil. We confirm the correct product by year, make, model, engine and VIN before completing the service. Oil-change intervals follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and the vehicle’s oil-life monitoring system.
